Hidden Dinosaurs

By Michelle Wolins | 11 Locations

Art encourages people to look at things in new ways, to expand perceptions and to celebrate visual discoveries. The playful concept of dinosaurs hidden in the totems engages people in visual discovery and encourages them to explore all along the ArtLine. Along the way, each totem also offers the opportunity to further the story of the 40 West ArtLine. In some cases, that can be echoing a motif in the artwork at that location. Or, it may be a theme derived from the area or history of that location. Each dinosaur is integrated into the totem in a unique way and includes a dinosaur peeping in, or very small, or just a foot or tail, or low at child's height, or formed from the positive/negative interplay of shapes. As shown on the map provided begin with hatching dinosaurs and end with a dinosaur skeleton.
